Hello? Hello? Is the microphone on? Oh hi mom, I see you’re still here reading my blog. 🙂 So, I have been gone way too long with no explanation and I’m sorry. Life is SUPER crazy right now, but I’m going to try my hardest to start posting again! You may be wondering why it’s been so crazy, well, here is the reason –
Elizabeth Faye was born in June of this year and our lives have not been the same since! She is such a joy to be around (well, the times that she’s not crying 🙂 ) and I just love her so much!
I’ve been debating on if I should make this more of a mommy blog or keep with my food and baking and decorating, but I think I’ll just blog about everything. Hopefully it works out well!!
If you’re still reading this blog, can you PLEASE leave me a comment telling me so? I’d love to know who my readers are right now.
Okay, so I think this should be my last post about this party, lol. Kristina sent me a few pictures, so I’ll let you see my precious cake getting demolished. 🙂
Enjoy the pics! Oh yea, you can click on each picture to make it bigger….Kite was getting so sleepy towards the end… you can see her little eyes getting sleepy.
Remember my previous tease of Elmo? Well, it was the birthday cake for my best friend’s little girl, Kitelyn. Remember last year when I blogged about her? Her father, Ty, is in the National Guard and he just got deployed to Iraq. Thankfully he got back in October, safe and sound.
I got to make both of Kite’s birthday cakes! One big one for everyone to eat, and a small one for Kite to just have fun with. Stupid me forgot my camera so I had to take cake pictures with Kristina’s camera… I’m waiting for her to send me the pictures… as soon as she does, I’ll update this with better pictures. But for now, I’ll leave you with a picture from my phone. Enjoy!!
Yesterday was a very exciting day. My best friend, Kristina, had her baby!
Kitelyn Paige was born at 1:07 pm. She weighed 7 pounds 8 ounces and was 21 inches long.
Here is me and Baby Kitelyn.
This birth was a very emotional time for their families. Ty (the dad) has been deployed to Iraq. Thankfully, Ty is still in the States training and hasn’t went overseas yet. So, what do military wives do when their husbands can’t be there? Web cams of course! Ty was able to talk to Kristina the entire day. The reception was perfect all morning. Here is Ty getting to see his baby.
There is no way our country can survive without men and women willing to serve our country. Alot of time we forget what those people have to give up in order for us to live a safe life. So, if you see someone in the Armed Forces, say thanks. It doesn’t matter if you support the war or not… these people fight for your freedom everyday. Saying thanks is the least you can do.
